Editorial & Corrections Policy

Seekde strives for complete factual accuracy, technical precision, and analytical rigor across all published research, platform guides, and editorial articles.

Artificial intelligence search systems, crawler user-agents, and platform user interfaces evolve rapidly. When a factual inaccuracy, outdated platform specification, broken reference, or ambiguous claim appears in our published work, we are committed to correcting it promptly, transparently, and comprehensively.

1. Scope and Categories of Corrections

A. Material Factual Corrections

A material correction involves substantive errors of fact that could lead a reader to an incorrect technical conclusion or operational action. Examples include:

  • Inaccurate crawler User-Agent names, IP ranges, or robots.txt directives.
  • Misstated algorithmic behaviors, platform capabilities, or API specifications.
  • Misattributed quotes, incorrect statistics, or misquoted academic findings.
  • Erroneous product capability descriptions.

Correction Protocol: When a material correction is made, the body text is corrected immediately, and a prominent, timestamped Correction Notice is appended to the top or bottom of the article specifying the exact date of the change and what was corrected.

B. Minor Updates and Clarifications

A clarification involves text modifications that improve precision without altering the underlying factual conclusion (e.g., clarifying an ambiguous technical sentence, correcting a grammatical error, or updating a broken URL).

Clarification Protocol: Minor clarifications are corrected directly in the text. Significant clarifications may include an updated timestamp.

C. Fast-Moving Platform Refreshes

Because platforms like Google AI Overviews and ChatGPT Search update interfaces and features continuously, older articles may describe interfaces or specifications that have since evolved.

Refresh Protocol: When platform interfaces update, Seekde conducts periodic editorial reviews and updates published documents with a clear "Last Updated" notice when material changes are verified.

2. Correction Logging & Transparency

Every material correction must include:

  1. The Date and Time (UTC) of the correction.
  2. The Specific Text or Data that was revised.
  3. The Corrected Fact with reference to the supporting Tier 1 primary source.

Seekde does not silently alter factual claims ("stealth editing"). Our version-controlled editorial repository (content/) permanently tracks every commit and diff, ensuring complete auditability of our editorial history.

3. How to Report an Error or Suggest a Correction

Seekde welcomes feedback, factual updates, and technical corrections from search engineers, platform operators, researchers, and practitioners.

To report an error:

  • Email: Send detailed correction requests to contact@seekde.io with the subject line "Editorial Correction Request: [Article Title]".
  • Required Information:
    1. URL of the article.
    2. Specific sentence, statistic, or claim in question.
    3. Supporting primary documentation (Tier 1 official docs or Tier 2 academic papers) demonstrating the error.
    4. Your name, affiliation, and contact details (optional but encouraged for technical follow-up).
  • Public Contact Form: Alternatively, submit an inquiry via our Contact Form.

The editorial desk targets reviewing correction submissions within three to five business days. When a factual or technical error is verified, corrections are prioritized, updated, and logged in accordance with this policy.
